SUMMER 2010

Jim wanted to see Salisbury beach but didn't know it was a hike from the street. Not like Ft Lauderdale where you park and the beach is right there. But it was worth the walk!

It was a beautiful day and the beach was a New England spectacular location for the hot weather.

Even the protective fence can't keep the sand from making dunes when the north wind blows.

Went to Manchester, NH
to have lunch with Phyllis.

Nice to see my friend even when I am on vacation. Timing was perfect for us both.

Grandson Billy came to visit from Florida and we right away went to the driving range.

He wanted to get some practice in before he hit the course again.

That was a good shot out about 130 yards. He is going to be a good golfer if he sticks with it.

Drove our car up Mt Washington. The highest peak in New England and we were well above the clouds. Billy love it!.

Finally got those 3 McGranes together for a picture and a great lunch.

Took Billy on the Duck Boats on the Charles River and also a great city tour. He learned some of the history of Massachusetts I hope.

Grandma's favorite time. Being surrounded by grandchildren.
Just photos we took from our balcony

Docked at the port in Bermuda. Beautiful weather although a little hot.

Took the city bus for a Bermuda city tour.

The Grand Staircase on the NCL Spirit. You can also see the glass elevators in the background.

Just some of the decor on the ship. these types of Chinese statutes were everywhere on the ship.

This ship was originally built for the Chinese so has a lot of chinese art and statutes on board.

Jim's favorite spot for breakfast. We had room service every morning and ate on the balcony.

Not sure I am awake yet.

We did go deep sea fishing one day.

Jim caught quite a large fish. We didn't keep it.
.
This is me deep sea fishing. It was very rough on the water and I elected to stay inside safe in the AC. I did venture out to take my turn to reel in a fish but it was quite large and broke the line. Can I claim the biggest fish even though I didn't have one for the picture. Of course I can!

We took a catamaran sunset cruise . Just a beautiful sunset and very relaxing .

First day out we took a golf tour with the pro from the ship.
This was Port Royal Golf course. 18 holes of beautiful scenery but hot that day

Here we go. Jim is in the middle cart waiting for me. Of course I need picture time.

This course was the best I have played so far. It was very challenging and so much to look at.

You could forget where your ball went as there was a lot of water around.

I think the form is good so far to tee off.

Guess that range of motion is a little limited. Need to keep those arms straight.

He caught me in the middle of the swing.
See club shadow on ground.

Jim has the strangest grip anyone has ever seen.

But he hits it pretty well and very far.

Now if we could only see where the ball went!

Although it was hot there was a strong breeze

I'll have to kill him for this shot! Going for the putt

This will be a fun shot. It was very hilly there and most shots were near the water.

Success!. We made it back after 18 holes. I think I skipped a few.

This was the sign inside the golf cart. No slouch course here. There are some very important pro tournaments played here.

Back from the cruise to Bermuda and we are off next weekend to New York City.

More later.
